exploring the worlds of art and music is a killer. caryn and i just kinda zone out the whole class... lol.

so at 11:23 today, i get a phone call. i was getting ready to get to my new testament class, but i answered the phone anyway. and this is the conversation.

me-hello?

(side note here. anya is my cousin. she lives in california. she's in ohio visiting, and her, my grandma, and my great aunt were supposed to be here at 1 to meet my mom, dad, and little brother.)

me-i have class in five minutes...
anya-where is your dorm? we'll just wait in there

conversation continues, and ends up with me going outside with my room phone (without a coat), walking around till anya says 'i see you!' then i run to their car, try to explain to them where my dorm is, then go back to my dorm and grab my coat and books. anya, grandma, and aunt mart were in myers looking confused, so i pointed them towards my dorm and pretty much ran to mitchell (don't try to think about me running. its probly not a pretty sight. haha). i was only a few minutes late to class, which is good. and i think i'm gonna like that class. :)
so after class, i moved grandma's car cuz it was in a faculty parking spot. lol. and her gas pedal is the total opposite of mine. i pretty much drove with my foot at a right angle so the car wouldn't go speedy fast.
we ended up, after much typical family arguing and discussion, eating at bob evan's. anya is awesome. first of all, she's been in college for about 10 years now. she has a degree in anthropology, psychology, and now she's going for her masters in psych. but she's just so fun! i don't see her much since she lives in CA, but yeah. i kinda wish that rusty coulda been there. the 3 of us used to be good buddies. :) but tim was there, and that was awesome cuz my little brother is the most awesome kid in the world. even tho he's gonna be 15 in like two weeks. he's still a kid in my book. :)

so other than the random printings appearing out of nowhere on my printer, lol, good day. i'm almost done with this part of my work shift. then i work again from 8-9. then i'm going to celebration when i get off work. :) i think friends are coming. i called ox earlier this week and left a message on his cell. i dunno about kelli or sara. i know ali's working tonight. but all well. it'll be good stuff, no matter who goes. after celebration, i'm meeting up with roger to go to late night. we've barely been able to talk since being back this semester, so we're gonna tonight. even though he has perspectives staying in his room, lol. he's ditching them to come hang out with me for a bit. :)

i should be writing my english paper right now. but i'm not. all well. i'll work on it when i get back to my dorm and then again when i work from 8-9. i'm done posting for now.

today i was tiiiiiiiired all day. silly body. it thinks because it slept like 10 hours a night over break that it gets to sleep that much now. noooo!!! i only sleep like 6 hours a night when i'm at school!
tonight was fun. janson came on campus to eat dinner with people from his humanities class. he hung out in here with me and caryn for awhile. i think i only talked to him a few times last semester, but i'm glad that i'm getting to know him now. i was a little 'iffy' about going to steak n shake with him and caryn on sunday night cuz i didn't really know him that well, but i'm glad i went. it was a good time. :)
working the 'late shift' SUUUUUCKS!!!!!!! first of all, i'm down there in that lab with like no one around. what if someone came and like killed me or something???? lol. there was only like 3 people using computers the whole night. i shut down one of the labs early cuz no one was using it. but all well. its over now. i don't have to work that late again till next week. now i'm going to bed, cuz i have that lovely class at 8 tomorrow.... BLECH!!

i think this semester isn't gonna be all that great. so far, it seems like i have classes when all my friends eat, and vice versa. like tonight, i went to dinner at like 4:45 with RA and jessie, cuz RA has a class at 5:30 and i started work at 5:30. so i'm coming out of the cafeteria to get my coat, and lyle was on his way in. first of all, i looked straight at him and it didn't even register in my brain that i was looking at lyle nussbaum, haha. then i talked to him for a bit, and he asked if i'd eaten yet. i was like "aoipauwelknvowehr!!!!!" well not really. but thats what i would have said if i could have. haha. i mean i know we've only been here like 3 days, but i feel like i haven't got to spend any time with my friends at all. blech on school. i even work during the first half hour of mike and aaron's radio show tonight, which really sucks. i always listen to the first hour of their show. now i only get to listen to half an hour of it, if i'm lucky. blah blah blah. this semester doesn't seem to be starting out well...

i just read in sara's xanga that brett is doing a 2 year missions thingy on a ship. thats awesome. i only met him a few times, but he seemed like a really awesome guy. i mean, 5 minutes after i met the guy back in october or so, he's kissing my cheek for sara's camera. i'll have to scan that picture and put it on here. its hilarious. :)

ok i really need to do school work now. i have crap to read and stuff. girl's night tonight in woolman 101! gilmore girls at 8, and then one tree hill at 9! :) good stuff

friday lynne and i closed at work for the last time. yay!!! then we went to pizza hut to meet up with christy and jessie smith. and i didn't ever have a chance to get the moulin rouge cds from christy, and now she's in costa rica. maybe when she gets back....

saturday i packed a bit, went to lunch at rockne's with my family, bought moulin rouge (the 1-disc version cuz i thought most the stuff on the 2-disc version was boring anyway), then mom and i went to jc penney. we watched moulin rouge when we got home, cuz mom hadn't seen it yet. she said the same thing i did: its not what she expected. she thought it was just going to be this trashy movie, and its totally not. she liked it too. then i went over to leah falzetta's for our clarinet sleepover. i love those girls. :) we had lots of fun.

sunday i ate pancakes that leah's dad made, then i came home, changed, and went to church. blah blah blah. i hate LMC. i just went cuz i wanted to see the people that go there. basically, what i got out of the sermon was that i'm an adulterer cuz of josh groban. haha. i really don't like that pastor at all. after church i came home and packed, then we packed up the van. tim and i rode in my car, so that was fun. he's a funny kid. my stuff isn't completely unpacked yet in the dorm, but all well... haha

yesterday i had 3 classes. then i went to dinner at kelli's, bible study, and starbucks. and i love kelli a lot. we had a monday car talk in between tim's house and starbucks, and it was good for me to just talk and get crap outta my system that i'd held in forever.
so we're at starbucks chillin, ordering our stuff, and in walks brian pittman. i was like "mmmmmm!" :) i didn't talk to him, but looking was enough for me.
tessa's ringdown was last night. :) it was fun stuff. she read the wonderful poem that nate wrote her. awww!!!

today has just been loooong so far. i had a class at 8, one at 9:30, then i work till 11:30, and i have a class from 11:30-12:45. then i get to eat lunch. by myself, most likely, cuz i'm sure no one waited for me. haha. oh well, i'm a big girl now... lol. i'm tired. but i have nothing to do in between lunch and when i work again at 5:30, so maybe i'll take a nap...

ohohoh!! grandma, grandpa, and anya are coming on thursday. i gotta get everything put away by then. i haven't seen anya for a few years, so thats exciting. now i just have to find a good restaraunt in canton for vegetarians.... haha.

i got up around 11 this morning. well i rolled outta bed and got on the computer at 11. haha. talked to lynne and mike, and we made our plans. around 12, lynne picked me up and then we picked up mike. we went to best buy, cd warehouse, the thrift store, sheetz, and then the mall. we ran into keir at the mall and that was cool, cuz i'm not gonna see him till whenever i end up coming back to work, and that might be awhile, depending on what i do over spring break. i spent too much money today... i bought a dashboard cd at cd warehouse, a hoodie at the thrift store, and had lunch at asian chao in the mall. eep on spending too much money!!! i worked 5-9:40ish tonight. i was by myself most of the time, so that was kinda nice. i could just do my own thing and make food, call for help if i needed it, stuff like that.
i love it when people have site meters on their online journals, and i like forget that i'm on their webpage, so it looks like i've been there for like an hour when really i looked at it for like 2 seconds. haha. its great.
so i'm glad that i've kept busy this break. i had a bit of sitting around, but i worked and hung out with people a lot.
anyway. enough random tangents. i'm done with this for now.

today seemed long. i don't know why. i got up around 10 to shower and get ready for lorraine's funeral. it was sad. this is the last paragraph of her obituary...

"For Mom, the work was never done. There was always another card to send, a letter to write, bills to pay, a phone call to make, house to clean, or another life to touch, always something. Even in her last days, when breathing became too difficult in a sitting position she would stand at the kitchen counter to write letters and sign and adress cards into the wee hours of the night or until her legs couldn't take it anymore and she was tired enough to sleep a little while. And then on her deathbed the evening before her Home Going, she apologized for not being able to help any longer and her strong desire to not be a burden to us. We assured her, she was not a burden and she had done enough and that her work was done, she should rest now. Hallelujah, she took our advice. She's resting now... or maybe she's not! Who knows? Maybe she's dancing... with Dad... in praise to God... without all those physical difficulties and breathing machines. Who knows? And then in her Bible we found a 3x5 card with a poem scotch taped to it and addressed"To my children" and signed "Mom, Lorraine." Obviously placed there for us to find.

i've gotten so many of those cards and letters from her over the years. for birthdays, christmas, achievements, just to let me know that she was praying for me, or (since i've been at school) just to say hi and let me know she's thinking of me. i really took those for granted. i never thanked her. and now i'm not going to get them anymore.... i really looked up to lorraine like a grandmother. i loved going to visit her, even tho i hate nursing homes. i even dragged jeremiah there when we were all dressed up for prom. :) i'm gonna miss her a lot, but she's in a much better place, reunited with her husband.

there was a meal after the funeral (its a mennonite thing i think), and then mom and i went and picked up my car. jeff ended up giving me an oil change, too, cuz i needed. altogether, i only paid about $100 to get my car fixed. which is nice. he oiled my door, too. haha. he made fun of me for how bad it was getting. oh and he showed me how to check my oil, since it was reeeeally low.
i called leah falzetta when we got home. clarinet sleepover at leah's on saturday night! woohoo!!! its gonna be awesome, i'm excited. you should come. but only if you play(ed) clarinet and your name is leah, casey, kim, sara, or tiff. :) good times ahead! i love my girls!
after that mom and i went to salem to go to lion and lamb cuz we both had cds we wanted to buy. she got the new city on a hill cd, and i bought the new TFK cd (for 7 bucks!!!!!!!), the new benjamin gate cd (well i guess its not really new anymore, but its new to me. and i got it for $10!), and i bought the new tait cd cuz i wanted it. then we went to fashion bug and made fun of the hideous clothes that they had on sale.... haha.
i chilled at home for awhile. watched a stargate episode (a really sad one!! with happy ending tho). i have to finish watching those before i leave on sunday, and i still have a dvd and a half to go. i played some zoo tycoon for awhile too. that game is so incredibly addicting. i think its worse than the sims. i think its a good thing that its moms game and i have to leave it here, cuz i would never get anything done if i took it with me.
i worked 7-close tonight. it wasn't bad. the time went fast. i closed with lynne, jason, and kelly. jason and i had a blast being dumb. oh and i have a nice bruise from a friend of lynne's. we were having nugget wars in mcdonalds (like all-out running all over the store hiding in booths--we were so dead, no customers were there when we were doing it, haha--and taylor hid behind me, sean chucked a nugget at us, and man! it hid hard! lol. but yeah.
the drive home was hilarious. lynne was driving on my butt and flashing her lights, so i slowed down to 10 mph under the speed limit. she went to pass me, and then just drove next to me for a bit. then she got in front of me and went 10 under, but i couldn't pass her cuz of a double yellow line. we basically screwed around like that the whole way home. maybe not totally safe, but it was hilarious. then she stopped her car right in front of my driveway. i love that girl, she makes me laugh!
now i'm home. i should go to bed. i'm hanging out with lynne, keith, and maybe mike tomorrow. good stuff! but i'm gonna go do other random stuff online, and maybe go down to my computer and play zoo tycoon for a bit.

so this is dumb. and it shouldn't matter. so don't read this post. but if this is my journal, then i get to be honest in it....

everyone is close to someone else. i'm not going to use names. but its true. people get tired of me, i think. we're great friends, then someone else comes along. everyone gets excited about this person doing this, and that person coming here or going there, and no one gives a damn what i do. but i guess thats life.

and thats another thing. stupid mcdonalds. i've picked up the lovely habit of swearing since i've been back. but all well. it will soon vanish when i'm at malone where i don't hear much language. its not a big deal anyway.

sometimes, i wish that i didn't have to go back (but i'd miss my wonderful marvelous roomie!!!). but that i didn't have to stay here. i don't know. someday i'll find the place that i fit in and that i'll be happy. it happens the most at camp. but thats also the place where i feel the most left out at times. lol. the irony. i hate life... lol

hmmm... ok so back to my post from last night..

i'm gonna touch on church on sunday real quick.....
so i sat in a really moving service. and i wasn't moved at all. people around me were crying, and i felt like my heart was made of stone. there's line from a bleach song that kills me when i hear it....

ok. so monday. did anything happen on monday? oh yeah!! lynne and i hung out with tkach (aka mike) and danny. it was hilarious. we made up a song, haha. then we played mario party. i'm so bad at it, but it was lots of fun. then we took danny home, and then lynne, mike, and i played mario kart double dash (which i also suck at). i had to work at 7, and i closed with jason. he's fun. i like closing with him. i close with him again tomorrow night. :)
tonight i went to lorraine's calling hours. thats really sad. really really sad. sara neunschuan.. or not. i can't spell that. nurse sara from camp was there. lorraine was her grandma. i don't think i knew that. but yeah. i just looked at her, and remembered when jeremiah and i went and surprised her at the nursing home in our prom stuff.... i'm gonna miss her a lot...
kurt and i went for coffee at starbucks tonight. that was nice. he's fun. and he's really grown-up. i realized that tonight.

i'm alive!! my mom's computer is semi-working. as long as it doesn't freeze on me again... BLAH

to read about what sarah and i did while she was in ohio, read her weblog. i'm lazy. haha.
the staff reunion was good. it was awesome to see people again. i love camp. :) uncle jared (i guess i should explain that real quick, haha. uncle jared is not my uncle. we're not related. i just call him that, and he calls me verna). anyway. uncle jared was there for awhile, so that was fun. he makes me laugh. especially with his reindeer ridiculousness (note to self: email uncle jared picture of reindeer). i barely talked to craig, which is sad. i didn't know he was leaving early or i woulda talked to him. but the 31st was his birthday (i definitely didn't know that or i woulda found some way to be corny about it, haha) so he had to leave early. we did talk for a bit tho. he 'scolded' me cuz he didn't know that i dated reno for a bit. i thought i'd told him but i guess not. all well. he also told me about the one date that he went on during the last semester. we ate lots of yummy food, played lots of ridiculous games, stevie lacey and i dog piled deb at midnight, we toasted the new year with some nasty fake champagne, i ended up talking to donna doo for like an hour, just me and her. i love that girl. she's the most grown up 12 year old that i know. seriously. we had a really awesome convo. hmmm after that? sarah went to bed. then i sat in timberwood with ali, stevie, and donna doo for awhile. then i got kinda ticked at ali and stayed there when they left to get food. a bit later i went up to the dining hall cuz thats where everyone was. i got yelled at by cara. her and tamara were playing backwords, and twice i tried to help cara, and she yelled at me both times. so i quit trying to help her after that. :) i think that i'm going to mail her the word 'havohej' when we get back to school, just for fun. then we all went back to timberwood cuz deb had donuts there. mmmmm. :) i ended up going to bed around 6 AM. i got up around 9:30, and couldn't find anyone for a bit. then i found sarah and rochelle, so we hung out in the dining hall for awhile. pretty much everyone left without saying bye, lol. but thats alright. sarah, rochelle, tamara, heather, lacey, and me sat in chestnut just talking for awhile. that was fun. shortly after that i hit the road cuz i had to be at work at 4. i was ridiculously awake for only getting 3 and a half hours of sleep. lol. lets see... what else has happened....
i closed with nome on saturday night. or maybe it was friday night. i don't remember. but anyway. it was good stuff. i like working with nome. he gets stuff done, but we have fun too. we got into some semi-deep conversation about appearances and such. it was fun. i think lynne closed that night too. i love lynne. :)

so i forgot to tell everyone about my dilemma when i posted last night. its rather humorous, when you think about it.... so tim got the lotr monopoly for christmas. we played it, it was fun. the idea of boardwalk being mount doom amuses me greatly... haha. anyway. so in this game came a replica of the one ring. it looked a little small, but was like "hmmm it would be fun to wear that for a second". so i put it on. and its still on. it won't come off. i've tried ice, ice and soap, ice and lotion, vaseline, soap, yanking, twisting... its stuck. my finger is swollen and red now from trying to get it off. so this is how it goes: i have to lose weight before i can get it off. like 20 pounds. i mean i needed to anyway, and i guess this is kinda motivation, lol... its just funny. i have no (EDITTED for people who haven't read the book or seen the movie, but if you have you get it), and i don't feel like having someone chop my finger off like they did to sauron... *sigh* lol. ok now more listening to the soundtrack from !Hero :) and cleaning my room and calling MY HEIDI!!!!! :) :)

today was an odd christmas eve. usually on christmas eve we clean house and do everything else we haven't gotten done yet. last night i didn't go to bed till like 3, so i didn't even get up today until 10:30. then i made some buckeyes while mom was at work. dad got home around 12:30, and mom got home around 1:30, so we ate lunch a little bit after that. then we opened presents. that was odd. it was like 2:15 and we were opening presents... we've never opened anything before christmas day before. but it was nice. rusty bought me Mr. Bean!! how about i've watched like 6 episodes already (starting with the christmas one, of course, cuz its freaking hilarious!!). how can someone who hardly ever talks make us laugh so much? rowan atkinson is my hero...
i did the dishes, then rusty tim and i watched half of X2. then we went to church, for the strangest christmas eve service ever... first of all, we took communion. hmmm.... strange. second of all, no one read the christmas story!! how wrong is that? so to remedy that, let's refresh our memory... read.. :)

work tonight was alright. i worked with taylor, which was awesome. i've missed that girl since she's been doing her whole Army thing.
oh scorn!! wal-mart had no moulin rouge soundtrack. :( so i bought myself the soundtrack to what a girl wants instead. :)
tim and i just watched nicholas nickleby. good movie!! we didn't start it till almost 11, and we didn't finish it till almost 1. pretty late for him. haha. but it was good.
no worky tomorrow!! yayayay!! i'm gonna make some buckeyes, help mom with some cooking stuff, we're gonna do our family christmas tomorrow, and i'm actually going back to LMC for the first time since like june. i'm going to the christmas eve service there.
i have to pee, and then i'm gonna go. i'm almost done with the never-ending story. for a kids book, its freaking good!! i love books. ha. i'm such a geek :)

tim and i just watched moulin rouge. neither of us had seen it before. how about that was one of the most awesome movies i have ever seen?? wow. the music in it is phenomenal. i'm off to wal-mart now to buy the soundtrack... :) oh oh oh! and i only work 4-8 tonight. woohoo!! :) no close for tracey!!

what a day what a day!

yesterday me and lynne went shopping. it was good. i've missed hanging out with her. and i got my x-mas shopping done, so thats a plus!! :)

today i went to church. jordan sat with me for most of the service (the daughter of the people that jeremiah lives with. she's in 1st grade and the most awesome kid in the entire world). she was so fun. and she did an awesome job on her solo in the christmas cantata. :) :) that girl is great. she makes me smile a lot.
then i got home and finished up the dinner (like put various things in the oven). the rest of the family got home late from church. i finally got to see rusty, cuz i hadn't yet. mom invited lyle, suzanne, and the boys for lunch. woo buddy... its been awhile since i've dealt with those kids.. haha. well zach's ok, but he's in 7th or 8th grade. patrick and benny on the other hand... well mostly patrick. i'm just not used to having kids in the house. i had a bit of a headache after they left. tim and i played so many different board games with them... lol.
then we all went to vicki wining's dad's calling hours. i hate calling hours. it was the first one i'd been to since lisa. blech blech blech. it was cool to see jim tho. it'd been forever since i had. he's got a bit more muscle, and a bit stronger of a hug! haha.
then mom and i went to olive garden for jenny's surprise 20th b-day party with some ladies from LMC (deb, vickie, dawn, pam, mary, shannon, and joanne). that was nice. except we were there for freaking 3 hours. and all they gave us was free desserts... long story. ask and i'll tell. but we made the best of it and had a fun time. :)
ok its off to sleepy land for tracey. i have to get a filling tomorrow :(

so my mom is gonna kill me. like say your goodbyes now. i really thought i'd studied enough. ironically, the two that i studied the most for are the two that i did the worst on. (if you're really stupid and don't know, i'm talking about finals). so i might not be back at malone next semester... i think there's a semester of leeway, but still... i have a feeling my mom's gonna look at my grades and that'll be that. i'll be at mcdonalds full time... well actually i'll get a new job, a better one. this really sucks. really bad. my mom's gonna kill me and i might not get to go back...

so lets see... i'm behind.
tuesday. i went to the dentist, found out i have a cavity, scheduled another appt, then left for massilonia. i got there a bit early, around like 1:20 or 1:30 or something. i hung out with ali watching fellowship. we went over to donny's later, i dunno what time. there we finished fellowship, called steve to get his butt over with the extended two towers, watched like half of old school (all the "funny parts" cuz i'd never seen it before). it was hilarious. sara came while we were watching that. then we started two towers. mmmmmm. i only got to see like half of it cuz we didn't have time, but some of the extended scenes are just beautiful. and watching it with ali, donny, and steve is a 'trip'. sara and i just sat there and watched them. it was so funny. ox came around 9:30 or 9:45, and we left soon after that for the theater. we stopped on the way to get food and cappuccino. so the seats we sat in weren't that bad. we were in the back row of the bottom part, right in the center. a little much for the battle scenes, my eyes got a little dizzy, lol, but good stuff. we screwed around and such before, then watched it. wow. wowowow. i can't say much cuz i don't wanna give anything away for you poor unfortunate souls who haven't seen it yet. but like i said the other day: my heart stopped and i didn't breathe. for like a good 30 seconds. peter jackson is a genius and i want to kill him.... lol." ali and i talked for awhile after we got back to her house, cuz wow... the movie.... i'm glad i sat by her. we were such LotR geeks. we were freaking holding hands for parts of the movie. i love ali. :) she had to get up early cuz of a drywalling guy, and i finally woke up around 10:30 or so. we hung out, made pizzas, watched 'where the heart is' (ali kept telling me to shut up. but hey. it was a chick flick, and i yell at the people in chick flicks! lol). we got online for awhile again, then i left.
wednesday night i went to tim's christmas concert. it was alright. i talked to jess votaw for awhile, and that was cool. we have the same feelings regarding leetonia. we were both 'hiding' behind our moms so no one would talk to us, lol. we'll probly hang out some time during break cuz i keep hearing rumors of laser tag. lol.
last night was...just beautiful. lol. it was awesome, ohmygoodness. mom, dad, tim, and i drove over to akron to see 'joseph and the amazing technicolor dreamcoat' at the carousel dinner theater. it was so good!!! wow!! so each brother had a different color, and was wearing overalls and chucks to match that color. it was great. like orange, yellow, green, lime green, pink, purple, blue, etc. and the show itself was so good!!!! wow!!! they're doing miss saigon soon, and cats next fall. who wants to go see cats with me next fall in akron? come on friends! lets go!! lol
ok i'm getting off now. i need to get dressed. i work 4-close tonight. yippee.... or not. lol. but i close with nome and lynne, so thats awesome. i miss lynne. and nome is a lot of fun. :)

a completely non-LotR related post for now...
i just opened a christmas card from a family back in van wert (one of the places i used to live). that's not unusual, we get one from the pearsons every year, and mom and ramona talk on the phone and write emails and stuff. they had a son, jason, that's rusty's age, a son, kelly, that was a year older than me, and a son, cody, who was a year younger than me. when we lived there, we all used to play. mom would drop us off at ramona's or vice versa (yeah i've pretty much always had more friends that were guys than girls). kelly and i were best buds. we were as tight as 2 little kids can be. i mean we were gonna get married! we had it all planned out. we knew where we were going to live, how many kids we were going to have, everything. then i moved away. we wrote a few letters to each other--i probly still have his somewhere cuz i'm a packrat like that--then we stopped writing. i almost forgot about him. then in jr. high, we went back to van wert cuz my mom's friend vickie was getting married. we did a lot of visiting that weekend, and one of the places that we went was the pearsons. it was a lot of fun to hang out with kelly and cody again, but they were so different from what they used to be. they were both into drinking and drugs (i think i was in 8th grade at the time, so kelly was a freshman and cody was in 7th). but nonetheless, it was awesome to just see them again. we didn't really keep in touch after that, either. i'm really bad at keeping in touch. so anyway. i opened the christmas card a bit ago. and it was so strange, and so very wrong, to see "Merry Christmas! Scott, Ramona, Jason, and Cody". i just sat down on the floor and cried. it's not right. he was too young. and there wasn't anything i could do. i didn't go to the funeral or anything, mostly cuz it was 5 hours away. he was so lucky a year or so ago: he was in a car accident--the car he was in was hit by a train. that was bad enough. he lived, but he suffered some major brain damage. ramona said that he was real quiet and calm and just kinda withdrawn after that. and then they found him dead awhile later (like last spring or summer?). drug overdose. it breaks my heart to think that my childhood best friend, my 'future husband', the kid that i spent countless hours playing 'duck hunt' with on their nintendo, the kid that i used to help plot against cody with, the kid who used to hide out in the huge garage/barn behind their house and attack me when i walked past... that kid is gone, forever. i lost touch with him, and now i'll never have the chance to get back in touch with him. what's done is done. i'll stop being morbid now. i just needed to get that outta my system.
i promise the next post will be a happy "tracey had an awesome day/night/morning today and yesterday" post. now its off to eat dinner, and then go to tim's band christmas concert.

so my heart stopped and i didn't breathe. for like a good 30 seconds last night. peter jackson is a genius and i want to kill him.... wow tho. wow. that movie.... it definitely wouldn't have been the same if i hadn't seen it with MY ali... i'll type more when i get home later, for now ali my ali and i are gonna go make some PIZZA!!!!!

i just wrote a reaaaaaaaally long post and then clicked the wrong button and its gone... scorn on that

so the new york thing.... yesterday i ran around doing stuff--picked up tim from school, gave nathan grace a ride home, went to the horvaths to pay for cheese that mom bought, then went to the library to get some movies. paula raneri was like "hey do you want to go to new york city?" then explained that someone had backed out on a ticket--her and some other people, i don't know who, left at 10:30 last night to ride on a bus overnight to NYC. they'll be back here at 8 tomorrow morning. it was so tempting!!!! the only thing that stopped me was that it cost $65. which really isn't that bad. but i just can't afford it. i didn't really even plan on buying anything, just being in NYC during christmas time woulda been awesome... i almost said yes. i went over to the bank and talked to mom about it. she said it was up to me. but in the end, obviously, i said no. sadness... lol
now i'm off to get some stuff together, then spend the night at jenny's! yay for jenny, i haven't spent the night at her house since....ummm....well....maybe since before she left for albania? or after she came back? i don't remember. anyway, i'm off... :)

i could be in new york city right now.....
but i'll explain that later. for now, i'm off to help finish hanging up the christmas lights outside (BRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!), and i'm doing the family laundry inside (i love it. i come and momma puts me to work right away. lol). and i still have the end of mystery men to watch with my awesome possum little brother, and the other half or pride and prejudice to watch with...well... myself. lol. and jenny's gonna call later. and then tomorrow me and casey are hanging out. yeah friends!! :) aww saying that makes me think of heather, lol. gee it must be nice to be one of those people that are done for the semester... but no. not tracey. tracey, after getting up before it was even light outside, had to take a stupid english final that was an essay that was only supposed to be less than half a page long and only took 20 minutes. and i still have old testament at 1... blogger won’t let me in for some reason, so i’m typing this in word and then whenever it decides to start working again, i’ll copy and paste it…
anyway. i’ve been slacking so much on the studying this weekend. yesterday i went over to ali’s, then went sledding with her, shannon, and donny. well i didn’t really sled, i just watched them. but it was hilarious. after that, ali and i went and got some food, then went to donny’s to watch movies with him, shannon, doug, tj, kelli, and ox came after he got done working. kelli brought me and ali our christmas presents early, much much fun!!! she made me a “finals week survivor kit”, and it has great stuff in it!!! :) she got ali some earrings that she wanted, so they went in the bathroom to put them in. while they were in there, donny and tj put some nasty cherry snow cone flavoring in ali’s hot chocolate. she came back in and drank some of it, and i couldn’t look at them, i was afraid i would bust up laughing. then she was like “mmmmmm!!” and i lost it. i got out of my seat and went to where she couldn’t see my face, and asked donny where the trashcan was so i would be facing away from her. so when she went back in the bathroom, they put more in it. when she came back in, she was like “why is my hot chocolate pink?” i told her it looked fine to me. she drank it, and was like “someone put a cough drop in it” and i had to leave the room. donny tj and i lost it, it was great. so anyway. we watched return to me, i love that movie!!! we started to watch gladiator after that, but no one was paying attention or felt like watching a movie that was that long. so ali, ox, kelli, and i went to ihop and got some food. good times. ali posed the question of if we could only listen to 5 bands for the rest of our life, who would it be? i dunno for sure, but this is what i have….

so after ihop ali and i headed back to her house. ryan gave me his josh groban cd as “collateral” for the $8 that he owes me—oh that reminds me, tj paid! yay! now its just ryan that owes me. i realized that i didn’t have my keys with me, so i called caryn and she said she’d come out to myers in like half an hour to let me in. i got back here around 12:50 or so, and went to bed around 1:45.
today i slept till 11, then studied till lunch, took a shower, then heather and i went to DQ in canal fulton to see ryan at work. it was fun. he made us a huge brownie earthquake. gave me a pile of napkins to use up. heather and i played with legos. oh and while we were eating, i could hear ryan singing josh groban in the back. it was verry happy. :) after that, heather and i just drove around for awhile. like an hour. it was nice to just drive. we went past her house, her ex boyfriend’s house, a coffee shop that ryan and i are gonna try to convince everyone to go to tomorrow, and other random places. it was good stuff. :) ok that’s all for now, i need to study more.

yay for fun awesome nights!! even tho the weather is too bad to leave campus...lol. we got all dressed up for the christmas dinner, it was so much fun!! i had pretty hair, thanks to jenny, and make up on!!! haha. the food was sooooo good!!! so much bread.... so many different kinds.... i was in bread heaven!!! so afterwards i was in my room just hanging out listening to christmas music and feeling very festive. roger called, he came over here and did some christmas stuff, and then we went on a search for a christmas movie. we ended up in jenny and sarah's room to watch the santa clause. good times. we laughed a lot. then we watched most of while you were sleeping. roger left before it was over cuz he was bored by our chick flick. lol. so jenny and i decided that we really wanted to go out and play in the snow. so we got molly and went out. we spent a good half hour, at least, rolling balls for a snow man. we got the bottom one, and after much snowballing and such, we got some guys to put the middle on for us (keep in mind that this is like 12:30 at night, lol. i love malone). the 3 of us put the head on, and it died. sadness. our snowman died before he was ever really alive. so we decided to make a chair. then i was like "hmm.... guys... this looks kinda like a toilet!!!" so we definitely made it into a snow toilet. we're proud of it.

its dead online tonight. no one's on. i think i'm gonna go watch some tv, and fall asleep eventually. good night. i'm not getting up probly till ali calls me tomorrow. lol. i just remembered that i don't have any finals on monday (yayness!!!), so i can slack off a little bit more. but not much!!!

i'm in such a good mood!! i want to go to kidron and throw snowballs at my boys!!! haha guys :)

boss mom (deb horst) is an amazing woman, and i love her a lot. she emailed this to everyone. it made me smile a lot. and i spent lots of time in prayer, cuz i had a lot of campers!!!

-Remember the dining hall flood and trying to sweep water out the door with the broom

-Remember putting the dining hall back together during staff training
-Remember trying to do string art with nail-gun nails
-Remember the tornado at Jr. High camp and the tree that caught on fire 50 feet from the chapel
-Remember how short-staffed we were during Preteen Camp, and how relieved we were when Kirk and Tamara got back from convention to help us
-Remember the zip line and the fire hose
-Remember when Tamara fell off the back of the pug while it was moving
-Remember how funny it was watching Kim and Tamara learn how to drive the pug
-Remember how excited Kirk was when we played Cat and Mouse at mini camp this is my personal favorite. you definitely have to know kirk to get it. oh my goodness i don't think i've ever seen anything funnier in my life!!! it made me laugh so much!
-Remember how Phoebe blessed us, and the "birthday party" we had at mini camp
-Remember Brian putting the Pizza Hut flowers in his hair
-Remember how all of boys camp prayed for Travis when he was going to meet Mark for the first time
-Remember liquid Jesus, and how excited Cara got before she preached ("When I was in Africa")
-Remember cleaning the chapel at midnight every Friday night
-Remember trying to paint Lacey's lifeguard chair in 90 degree weather

-i remember being able to almost physically feel the thickness of God in the cabins at times
-i remember laying out on the rec field on a weekend and just talking with sarah
-i remember not being able to find craig's house for VB on a weekend with sarah and matt
-i remember staying up till 2 or 3 with matt, just cracking up at everything (was it the IRA??? haha!)
-i remember the day i ripped the hem out of my pants so i wouldn't have to look david lantz in the eye
-i remember being on support staff during preteen camp 2002 when we all slept in the ravine lodge and just stayed up talking all night
-i remember that same week when me, tiff, liz, and donna made up that dance to the veggie tales song, and roped scott nussbaum into doing it with us. no one else would be in it, then after we did it everyone wanted to be in it

i could go on and on and on.... but i'll end with this and get back to my homework
-i remember, and always will, the friendships that i've formed because of camp. not just as a counselor, but also as a camper. i would honestly not be who i am today if it weren't for camp luz. i might not even be a christian...

today=good day.
did my impromtu speech in communications. i ended up with the topic 'do you get along with your roommate', so that wasn't bad.
chapel was christmas chapel, and that was fun cuz i love christmas music.
then i got dressed (i even put on a little makeup, lol. its the first time that i have since i've been here. i used to wear some in high school, but just not here. anyway...)
i left here around 11:35ish. its a good thing i left that early, cuz i got stuck in stopped/creeping traffic for 20 minutes cuz of road construction. i was nervous when i got into cleveland, but it was ok. i found a parking lot for $4, talked to the attendant, who was fun. we talked for like 5 minutes before i actually parked my car. lol. so i walked over to the theater (note to self.... no heels for walking a block... haha), called christy, we found each other after a little confusion. we had freaking awesome seats!!!! front row and centered, in the balcony. i'm gonna go ahead and say best seats in the house. cuz if you're down on the floor, you don't see as much as you do from the balcony. it was awesome!!!! i knew it would be, but wow.... it was awesome!!!!! :) :) :) christy and i went out for intermission to watch the little thingy. i saw my future husband. except he's 27 and from japan. but he was great. amazing drummer. wow. malaguena was just awesome. wow. wowowowowow. wow!!! you just have to see it to understand.... *sigh* i need to obtain a copy of the vhs or dvd to show all. :) esther said she wants to see it. wowowow. good stuff. getting back was a little trickier, but i found my way. i could see the exit to 77 south, but i couldn't get to it. i needed to make a left hand turn, and after sitting in the parking lot driveway for like 5 minutes, i gave up and turned right, figuring that i could just make a few turns and get back to 14th st. well i didn't get back to 14th, lol, but i somehow ended up finding a different exit for 77 south. don't ask me how, i have no idea!!! my cd player was being stupid, as usual. i pushed the key a little too far, and it stuck. when that happens, i either have to not touch it, or turn the car off and back on again. if i touch it, my car will stall. so i debated driving all the way back with no music, but after like 15 or 20 minutes i couldn't handle it anymore. i pulled into a rest stop (i hadn't been to a rest stop in like 5 years! it was fun! lol) and then got back on 77. i got back here at like 5, then went to dinner with sarah, sara, molly, and jenny. now i'm in my dorm. i was gonna take a nap, but i'm talking to jon, which is fun. this is great... read this...

i'm going to go write some more of my humanities paper thats due on friday (i know its early for me to be starting it, lol, but i want to get it done early for a change)

david orr made my night. its been a crappy one, between the virus and working on that instead of my english, blah blah blah and stuff that i don't feel like getting in to. but i checked my weblog and read the comment from david on my previous post, it made me smile, and i really needed that.
