this is the 902 post on this blog. that's a lot of posts. but i've been using this since i was a senior in high school, although i took a year or 2 off to be disloyal and use xanga for awhile.

but anyway. i like eve 6. i hadn't listened to them for awhile. i'm listening to horrorscope, cuz it's my favorite. i remember the first time i realized that i have the editted version, and understood why there are random blank spots in the song... haha

i own all of the myst games now: myst, riven, exile, revelation, end of ages, uru, and 2 uru expansion packs. it's been like a 7 year process for me. haha. i love it. :-)

still not really in school mode... finding it hard to do things like write this 3-page paper for tuesday, although i need to today, cuz tomorrow chrissy is coming! and then i work 5-9

work is going better, last night i didn't have to clean a lot of stupid things. i learned counter, and did well enough that my manager decided after about 5 minutes that i didn't really need to be supervised, which was encouraging, cuz when i first started working there i thought i would never get the hang of things. although it does take me almost an hour to slice some lemons, and then squeeze a gallon of lemonade out of the rest, while i hear it only takes anthony 8 minutes... haha. so i'm slow at some things...

confusing moment of last night:
"sorry that i ran that up on your register doug, the one i was using was shut down and i didn't know what do do."

"that's ok juanita."

"...[pause. insert my confusion.]... did you just call me juanita?"

ok so maybe you had to be there, but seriously. it was towards the end of the night, so i was overwhelmed with all the things i had learned, and that just threw me off, and then i messed up the order that i was taking, although it got a laugh out of the customers... haha


the mothman prophecies isn't really a scary movie. so many people said that it was, so i was kinda disappointed when i watched it. all well.

i should get on that paper now... i could have been done by now, i've been sitting at my computer screen for an hour doing nothing... haha

every once in awhile, when i haven't listened to them for a bit, i listen to something corporate, and then i fall in love all over again.

christmas break is nearing it's end, and i don't like that.
i have absolutely NO desire to return to malone.

i worked 11-4 today. i love the daytime ladies, they're great. i laughed so much today. and i worked on counter for 2 hours before i got thrown in grill, so that was nice too.
tomorrow i work 4-8 at chick-fil-a, thursday 11-4 at mcdonalds, and friday 4-8 at chick-fil-a again. not so excited about driving to canton and back twice this week...

terri wetherald [aka the mother of my best friend from elementary school/jr high/half of high school/still the person in the world who knows the most about me and who i love a lot] came into mcdonalds on her break today, and informed me that my lee-uh is ENGAGED! that makes me happy. :) we were just talking about it the last time we hung out, which was like 2 weeks ago at jenny's house.
speaking of jenny, she called me a bit ago, and i'm hanging out with her tonight. which will either consist of talking and knitting, or watching a movie and talking and knitting. haha. i love jenny.
seriously, nothing is as amazing as childhood friends who know you so well and have seen you through so many stages of life. it's the best.

anyway. i'm going to play either final fantasy: mystic quest on snes, or rct 2 on here.

yesterday, i did have lunch with my wifey and christy. it was enjoyable. :)

today my family and i headed to carnation mall in alliance to go see the lion, the witch, and the wardrobe at the movie theater there. on the way there, i was looking around and thinking "hey that's the road to get to camp limrod. hey that's the road that i turned on every day to get to the church. that's the road to shari's house." and i decided that even though it could mess up the job at chick-fil-a, i want to work at camp limrod again this summer.
so then we saw narnia, and sat in the second row because the theater was packed with children, haha. my family liked it. [i was seeing it for the second time]. i liked it again.
when i checked my email after we got home [for the first time in like 2 days, due to the fact that i've become a recluse and don't get online, and when i do i put up an away message or go invisible on instant messenger, and rarely check my email or anything], i had an email from shari saying that she wanted to know as soon as possible if i was interested in coming back to camp. so i took that as an OK from God and emailed her back. it's a good job with good money.


and i think this is the end of camp luz, cuz i'm not planning on working at all this coming summer. i will work on weekends if rochelle calls me, and if i can work it out with chick-fil-a. it's just a weird thought...


anyway. i'm going to play rct2 now. :-)

i didn't hang out with the down-the-hall girls yesterday, cuz ess called at 9 to tell me that cass is sick. but i have a lot of free days next week, and i'll find out about evenings tomorrow when i call and check the schedule at chick-fil-a.
butttt, i did make a milestone in my life. i went to the movies for the first time by myself, haha. i really wanted to see brothers grimm, and brit was going to the expensive movies w/her dad and brother, so i went to the cheap seats by myself. i felt like such a nerd, haha.
after the movie was over i called b-rit [with my mom's prepaid minute cell phone, because she has one now, and it's kinda funny], and she was almost home i think, but turned around and came back to boardman. we went to caribou coffee and hung out [with my librarian, haha. but anyone from leetonia knows that paula raneri is a lot more than just a librarian, she's amazing].
we sat out in brit's car after caribou closed and talked, then we decided to go to her house. and her dog is great, i like her. haha. so i hung out there for a couple hours, and watched her family christmas on dvd and took great pictures, among other things.
today i was lazy. i watched the tony danza show this morning, which i do pretty much at least once a week, especially when i'm home. i love that show. i was home by myself, so i didn't feel motivated to do much. i talked to my wifey on the phone for awhile, and made plans to go to lunch tomorrow, possibly joined by christy. i played final fantasy: mystic quest for awhile on super nintendo. i watched the 'making of' for raiders of the lost ark and part of temple of doom. then i worked 4-9.
and let me tell you, work was crazy. we were busy, and everyone was wired and on edge. a strange combination. but i didn't have to work in the grill, so i didn't care. haha.
tomorrow is lunch w/case, then calling chick-fil-a, then working 4-8ish, then hommmmeee for a good, old-fashioned new year's movie night w/my family. i haven't done that for a good 4 or 5 years cuz i've always had plans, but this year i don't, and i'm looking forward to it.

anyway. i'm going to go play roller coaster tycoon for a little bit more, then sleep



wow, i just saw the cover of 'the secret life of bees' out of the corner of my eye, and thought that a bee on it was real. maybe i should just go to bed.... haha

my uncle no longer has any tubes coming out of him! most excitingly, he no longer has the 2 tubes that were in his head to drain his blood clot. so that's exciting. :)


i got my digital camera for christmas. i kinda let the excitement from that slip by the wayside. and mom got me the final myst game, which i can't wait to load when i get back to school. tim got me the myst 3-pack that i already have, so i'm gonna return it and get myst 4, cuz i don't have it yet. anyway. we were in columbus from saturday night till late monday morning, and then we headed to my grandparents' house. my cousin anya was there, which is exciting. she just moved from california to connecticut. and she's finally not going to college anymore [she has 2 bachelor's degrees and a master's degree]. i had fun pestering grandma with her and tim, haha.

i finished narnia last week, and so far this week i read the rest of black by tod dekker, and read over half of eragon by christopher paolini. i need to get out more and read less... haha

tomorrow i'm supposed to hang out with cassie [stokes, i just like to use her last name, haha], esther bardo, and molly thompson. i really hope all that works out, cuz i neeeever see molly or cass anymore, and i don't see esther much even though we're both still at malone.
tomorrow night it looks like i'm going to movies 8 w/b-rit. yay!

i'm going to bed soon, cuz tim's at a lock-in at the church, and my mother nominated me to go pick up him and some other kids and take them all home at 8 or 9. which is good. i rearranged my room today, and it's still in shambles. so if i get up, then i can work on it.

so i'm off to play roller coaster tycoon 2, and then sleep. :)

i'm going to post on xanga and my blogspot, because i'm pretty sure more people check xanga even tho i use this now.

you never think about things like how many people spend the Christmas holidays in the hospital, whether as the person being hospitalized or the family of that person, until you experience it.

that was my family's holiday this year. we left our house a couple hours earlier than expected on saturday [and skipped the christmas eve service at my church] and headed down here to columbus to riverside hospital, where my uncle mervin is. saturday late afternoon he was vacuuming, and thought he was standing on the other side of the stairs that he actually was, and he took a step back and fell head-first backwards down the stairs. my uncle is blind, by the way. he had a bad skull fracture and, as the doctor put it, a huge blod clot. they finished surgery while we were still on our way down, and then we went and saw him. he has tubes coming out of his head draining the blood. it's sad.
sunday morning we went to church, and then back to the hospital. since we were in the ICU of the Neuro center, i saw a lot of tears. that was a sad thing to see on Christmas day. people were camped out in the waiting room to be near their loved ones, possibly in the last moments of their life. it really broke my heart.

anyway, i hope everyone's holidays were good. please pray for my uncle, because if he recovers, it's going to be a long recovery. and after all the time he spent in the hospital when i was in high school when he got shot and went blind, this is just the icing on the cake. just pray for him. this is rough stuff for the Christmas season

i just ordered jenny smith's christmas present [that she's not going to get until after break] on ebay.

in 10 minutes i can go to bed. but due to the tradition of beating tim to move the mouse on the calendar on christmas eve, i have to stay up till midnight, even though i'm rather tired.


tomorrow morning, i'm going to boardman. i don't quite know what i'm thinking... haha. except i have a 10 dollar coupon for old navy, and my mom had one for jc penney. so i'm going to go spend 20 dollars, and not spend a single penny. :-)

i finished chronicles of narnia about an hour ago. now i get to finish reading 'Black' [by dekker]. i hope i like it, cuz i couldn't decide if i did or not when i started it.

i worked 4-7 last night, back in the dungeon. ok so not really, but it feels like it. other than taking orders through a headset and then taking people's money through a window, you get no human contact. and plus my fingers practically froze off. but i still like it better than grill! :-)


tim and i are going on a walmart adventure tonight. haha. the world is in for it...

ok i'm going to go play roller coaster tycoon 2 until it's time to go to work.

so this break this is kinda nice. since i've been home i've:

finished a horse and his boy (which i didn't like much), read prince caspian, read voyage of the dawn treader, read the first 10 chapters of the silver chair
watched [a lot of] movies: last of the mohicans, cats and dogs, some mr. bean, polar express, sound of music, terms of endearment [stupid!!!], the christmas blessing [tv movie on cbs] say anything, prince caspian, and part of voyage of the dawn treader [the BBC version]
watched my mom and dad sing in the church's christmas cantada
went to the dentist and went to sheetz for lunch afterwards

worked a whopping total of 4 hours [4-8 last night]. tonight and thursday i work 4-7. haha. yay mcdonalds not being able to give me hours...

got things figured out w/chick-fil-a, and the last week i'm home [jan. 2-8] i'm going to work at mcdonalds and be trained at chick-fil-a [in canton. this could be interesting... haha]

beat 2 parks on roller coaster tycoon

so yes. unproductive, yet a tiny bit not. and surprisingly, my mom and i haven't killed each other yet, although there have been plennnnty of fights. but that's just how we do it here... haha

tonight after work i'm booking it home, showering, then going to tim's band christmas concert. i hope lynne's going.
tomorrow after work tim and i are going to wal-mart to buy stocking stuffers for our parents, haha. every year my mom stuffs her own stocking, and she knows exactly what's in it, and what's the fun in that? so tim and i are gonna take care of it..

speaking of my mom and christmas... she decided that we were going to have matching pjs this year. tim is 16. i'm 20. oh goodness... she bought flannel bottoms and at first she bought ugly shirts, but then she bought new ones for me and tim. they're funny. she's funny. i can't believe i agreed to it... haha

anyway. i want to go play roller coaster tycoooon 2 now. i like that game. so goodbye!

jenny and leah are the best. i wish i could transport them with me wherever i go, haha. they're some of my favorite people ever, and that would make life easier.

we hung out tonight. we talked. and worked out [aka played on jenny's parent's gym equipment. especially the upside-down one. and all 3 of us went on the treadmill at the same time and walked 0.1 mile together. haha]. so yes, it was a good night. :)

i'm going to bed now because this is the latest i've been up since being home, and i don't like it. and i have dentist in the morning and work in the late afternoon. and i need to find my work clothes. so that's all.

i've been so unproductive that i didn't even go check my schedule when i got home last night. and my car still has some of my stuff in it.

but that will end soon, because i need money, so i hope that i work every day, even though i hate my job. and i think i'll be starting at chick-fil-a in canton the first week of january. i'm thinking i'm going to work 2 jobs like a mad woman. if i work in columbiana till 4, i should be able to get to canton by 5:30 without a problem. so that should work out well. i'm looking forward to having a job while i'm at school. even though pretty much the last thing i want to do is move back to school. but i have 3 weeks before i have to worry about that.

i watched last of the mohicans last night, cuz i saw tim's dvd sitting there, and i've only seen the regular vhs that i have. he has the dvd w/extended scenes. i was reminded how much i love that movie, and especially the amazing soundtrack.
i finished horse and his boy last night. can't say that i liked it all that much. it was kinda boring. but now i'm four chapters into prince caspian, which is four chapters closer to voyage of dawn treader, which is my mom's favorite.
