hello from camp! all the campers and most of the staff are on the hike right now, so i'm taking the opportunity to use a computer.

can i just say i'm having an awesome week??? i'm really enjoying working with the 5 girls that are my fellow 'worker bees' (becca r, melanie, anita, terri, and erin). we've got a lot done this week, too. we painted the garage, and hopefully we'll start working on the mural soon. we've also done some other random jobs. tomorrow we get to clean the pool!! yay!!
we've been breaking so many rules though... last night erin and anita borrowed my car to play tennis at central, while melanie, becca, terri, and i went to kidron store to buy contraba..i mean allergy medicine for becca. then the 6 of us all went to dalton dariette. it was wonderful. let me tell you... :) then today (little john just gave me a backrub, and it was amazing...) anyway. today after we painted for awhile, we took some chairs to mcc connections, and went thrifting. i got some shirts, and the old peter pan with mary martin on vhs.

well. i think i'll go do something constructive with my free time. like shower. or finish cut-tying my shirt. or something. i don't know. but i feel like a slacker for sitting in front of this computer screen for like 15 minutes!!

another week gone by...

this past week was girl's camp. we had 92 girls, ages 9-11 (with a few 8 year olds) running amuck in the camp. it was a very tiring week. i should be sleeping right now instead of sitting here in front of this screen, but i wanted to check my email and post.

i co-ed with courtney this week, and it was awesome. we had so much fun. even when we were having problems with our cabin, the two of us could just crack ourselves up... it was so great. it was a rather trying week at times, due to some problems within the cabin. but i just happened to get really lucky last week with a super easy cabin, so this one seemed hard in comparison. in all actuality, it probly wasn't that bad. i did love my 11 11-year olds. :)

today after closing, the staff went to bw-3 in wooster. it was a good time. now i'm back at camp in the office by myself, bored. lol. i think i'm gonna go up to the horsts awesome camper and watch league of extraordinary gentleman. tomorrow morning i'm gonna go to the church service here at camp, cuz its salem mennonite, and mr. lyle nussbaum himself goes to that church, and it should be fun to see him. then my parents, brothers (BOTH brothers, cuz rusty's home from the air force for a few weeks) and janson will be here around 1:30 or 2 tomorrow to pick me up and meet my grandparents at mohican state park for a picnic. depending on how awake i am, that could be a potentially good time... lol.

now i'm going to go get some stuff together, start a load of laundry, and call home cuz i have some stuff that i want my mom to bring. namely my peter pan (<3) dvd so donna doo can borrow it. this was a long post... oh and i'm on maintenance this coming week.. so that should be a good time too. but its gonna be a lot of hard work. so prayers appreciated!!

so its been a long time since i posted. like almost a month... quick update...

i went to liz's house for her graduation party. saw david, brian, and melanie at the park.

staff training was hard work with lots of soreness. but it was a lot of fun.

youth camp was good. highlights were things such as thirstborne being the band there again, talking to reuben matthews, hanging out with the birch girls (the cinci girls plus some), being the craft lady and actually having an ok time, and stuff like that.

jr teen camp rocked my socks off. i co-counseled with erin and it was awesome. we had 9 awesome girls, and it was just awesome. it rained a lot, but yeah. it was still awesome.

now i'm at ali's house with her, janson, kelli, david, melanie, and allie. good stuff. its been a good day. el campesino's, playing nerts (nertz? i don't know), handel's, friendly's to see doug, and now back here. soon back to janson's to do my laundry and finish watching calendar girls. i borrowed it from deb. haha. i have to go to wal-mart too. to buy bug spray and safety pins and maybe casting crowns... i haven't decided yet. so i'm done now. i probly won't post again for awhile.

sarah bernier---i'm going to call you sometime. cuz i want you to come visit during the mini camp weekend, or if you can't, maybe i can come see you, if you help me pay for gas or something (which i'll do if you drive out here, or i'll help pay for your ticket or whatever). email me at camp and give me your number again, i think i lost that email. i love you!!

i love everyone else too. i think. depending on who you are. :) ok now i'm done, cuz i think janson is dying and i need to take him home...
